School transport involves sensitive information. Safiri is designed to give each school clear control over the people, permissions, journeys, and records in its account.
What the platform may process
Depending on a school's setup, Safiri may process student and guardian details, authorised pickup relationships, staff assignments, route and vehicle information, boarding and handover events, location updates during active trips, device information, and operational audit records.
Why this information is used
The information supports transport planning, live trip visibility, attendance and accountability, guardian verification, incident follow-up, school reporting, and essential service communication. Safiri does not position student data as an advertising product.
School control and family rights
The school is normally the organisation responsible for deciding how its transport data is used. Access, correction, export, and deletion requests should first be raised with the relevant school. Safiri supports the school in responding according to its agreement and applicable local requirements.
Retention and sharing
Retention periods and authorised integrations are agreed with each school. Information is shared only where needed to provide the service, support the school, meet a legal duty, or protect the safety and integrity of the platform.
